1. Introduction

Family Orchestrator ("we", "us", "our") operates the Family Orchestrator web application and the Family Orchestrator Alexa skill (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information: Email address and authentication credentials (managed securely via Supabase authentication).
• Family data: Family member names, roles (admin/adult/child), and assigned colour identifiers.
• Calendar data: Calendar events synced from Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook, including event titles, times, and locations.
• Household data: Chore assignments, meal plans, recipes, shopping lists, pantry inventory, and logistics responsibilities.
• Voice interaction data: When using the Alexa skill, Amazon processes your voice input. We receive only the interpreted text intent and slot values — we do not receive or store audio recordings.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the Service, including the web app and Alexa skill.
• To coordinate family schedules, chores, meals, and logistics.
• To sync calendar data from your connected accounts.
• To respond to voice queries via the Alexa skill.
• To add items to shopping lists via voice commands.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely in a Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL database with row-level security enabled. Authentication tokens are encrypted. Calendar sync tokens are stored in encrypted form. We use HTTPS for all data transmission.

5. Third-Party Services

• Supabase: Database hosting and authentication. See Supabase Privacy Policy.
• Amazon Alexa: Voice interface processing. See Amazon Alexa Privacy Notice.
• Google / Microsoft: Calendar sync (only when you connect your account). We store OAuth refresh tokens securely and only access calendar data you authorise.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is shared only with the third-party services listed above, solely to operate the Service.

7. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your family data at any time through the app settings. Upon account deletion, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service allows family members to add children's names and assign them chores. However, the Service is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Only authenticated adult/admin family members can create and manage child profiles.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Disconnect calendar sync at any time via Settings.
• Disable the Alexa skill at any time via the Alexa app.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates the most recent revision.
